New Ram HD Trucks Received a Year’s Worth of Orders in Just One Month

Ram is demonstrating impressive success with its new affordable cargo trucks. The brand has received a real flurry of orders for two new special editions.

Return to Success

After several challenging years, Ram is back in the game. The return of the 5.7-liter Hemi V8 engine gave a boost, and the company received over 10,000 orders in the first 24 hours. However, the brand is not resting on its laurels and is actively introducing new trims and special editions. Among them are the 2500 Black Express and Warlock, which have become very popular among enthusiasts.

During the presentation of the 2027 ProMaster City model in Detroit, Ram representatives stated that these trucks received a year’s worth of orders in just the first month. The company is already working on increasing production capacity to handle the demand.

The Black Express Philosophy

The success of these models is no accident, as they are value-oriented and based on the affordable Tradesman version. Black Express moves away from the work truck look: it received body-colored bumpers and a matching grille. The 17-inch steel wheels of the Tradesman are replaced with 20-inch alloy wheels with a black finish.

The updates don’t end there: the model has a sporty hood and tubular side steps. Buyers also get a higher-quality interior with bench-style cloth seats and carpeted floor covering.

The price starts at $53,070, not including a destination charge of $2,595. This makes it an affordable full-size heavy-duty pickup that doesn’t look cheap.

The Off-Road Oriented Warlock

The 2500 Warlock model moves in a different, more off-road-oriented direction. It comes standard with four-wheel drive, 20-inch wheels, and 34-inch off-road Goodyear Duratrac tires. The pickup also features a rear differential lock, transfer case protection, Bilstein shocks, and a hill descent control system.

This is complemented by black accents, trailering mirrors, and an updated interior with cloth seats, floor mats, and all-weather floor liners. This is a decent offering, considering the price starts at $56,400.

Availability and Future Plans

Although the offer is limited, a quick search shows that dealers have over 100 Warlock vehicles in stock. Many of them are offered with significant discounts, so there’s no need to worry if you missed the early order.

Ram is preparing many more interesting novelties, among them the return of the TRX model. It will be accompanied by an updated Power Wagon, which will be offered with a turbo-diesel engine.

The popularity of these models clearly indicates that the market is eager to get sturdy and capable trucks without excessive luxury at a reasonable price. The emphasis on practicality, off-road capability, and aggressive design seems to be a winning formula. The success of the Black Express and Warlock also demonstrates how important flexibility and the ability to quickly respond to demand have become for the brand, adapting base models to specific customer needs.
