Tuning Atelier Larte Design Unveils Full Carbon Kit for 2026 Mercedes-Benz G63
It’s impossible not to notice a Mercedes-Benz G-Class on the road. Its upright stance, boxy body, and overall sense of might truly work. However, for some owners, the factory configuration is merely a starting point. The tuning market has long catered to this psychology, offering everything from subtle enhancements to excesses akin to Mansory or Brabus.
Larte Design is the latest atelier to release a whole series of upgrades for this SUV. Undoubtedly, their modifications will be too dramatic for some, but this is certainly not the craziest thing we’ve seen. As expected, the entire kit is built around carbon fiber—a material typically chosen for its minimal weight. Although for the G63, this logic almost loses its meaning.
Details of the Carbon Kit
The centerpiece is a fully exposed carbon hood with new ventilation holes and louvers designed for better temperature control in the engine bay. This is complemented by carbon accents on the front bumper, including a sharp splitter. Clients can also order a set of custom alloy wheels, painted black with carbon inserts.
The entire kit is built around carbon fiber, a material typically chosen for its minimal weight. On the G63, this logic stops right here.
The changes continue along the sides and on the roof, where a carbon lighting bar is positioned across the roof, and new side skirts visually widen the vehicle. At the rear, things get even more interesting. Matte black exhaust tips replace the standard ones, while a large carbon spoiler is installed above the modified spare tire cover. A redesigned rear bumper and diffuser complete the transformation.
Quality and Availability
All parts of the Larte kit are made from pre-impregnated carbon fiber and are TÜV certified. Pricing information is not yet available, but they were specifically designed for the 2026 G63 and are manufactured entirely in Germany.
An Opportunity for the Manufacturer
Given how many companies offer tuning, one might assume Mercedes is missing a potentially profitable business opportunity. It’s evident that G-Class owners love to personalize their vehicles, so perhaps it would be wise for Mercedes to start selling a wider range of accessories and upgrades for the G, similar to how BMW M offers a large assortment of M Performance parts for some of its models.
If G owners could buy carbon kits directly from Mercedes, they definitely would. They wouldn’t ask about weight savings. No one ever does.
The popularity of such tuning packages underscores the constant demand for exclusivity among premium SUV owners. Although the weight characteristics of carbon are of secondary importance for a heavy vehicle like the G63, the aesthetics and status of this material remain the main drivers of purchase. This indicates that the luxury car accessories market is evolving not only towards increased performance but also towards creating a unique visual image that makes the car stand out from the crowd, even among other representatives of the same model.
