Porsche has introduced a new version of the 911 GT3 S/C, which for the first time has received a convertible body. The model has become a series production car, not a limited special edition, and retains the atmospheric engine and manual transmission. This is reported by “Porsche Newsroom”.

The new version is based on the track-focused GT3 concept but has received a soft electro-hydraulic roof that folds in 12 seconds. The car’s weight is 1507 kg, which is only 38 kg more than the GT3 Touring coupe.
To reduce mass, carbon fiber body panels, magnesium wheels, and carbon-ceramic brakes are used. The suspension is borrowed from the GT3 RS and includes a front double-wishbone scheme.

Under the hood is a 4.0-liter naturally aspirated flat-six engine producing 502 hp, which revs up to 9,000 rpm. The only transmission available is a six-speed manual gearbox.
Acceleration to 97 km/h (60 mph) takes 3.7 seconds, and the top speed is 312 km/h. These figures match the GT3 coupe.

The car received a two-seat interior with the option of installing carbon fiber seats. Personalization options are also available, including a special interior and exterior trim package.
Sales of the model will start soon, with the price in the USA starting from $275,350.
