Anniversary Shelby F-150: 10 Years of Insane Power
Ten years ago, the idea of a factory Ford F-150 with Shelby badges seemed absurd. Today, these pickup trucks have become almost a separate segment of luxurious high-speed vehicles. Shelby American reminds us that it helped open the door for this direction.
To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Shelby F-150, the company has introduced a new anniversary edition. It boasts over 810 horsepower (596 kW), an aggressive suspension, and visual elements that make even a Raptor look restrained.
Technical Equipment and Power
The basis for the pickup is the Ford F-150 Lariat SuperCrew 4×4 with a naturally aspirated 5.0-liter V8 engine. Shelby installs its Stage 2 supercharger, adds upgraded fuel injectors, a carbon fiber intake tube, a heat exchanger, and a Borla exhaust system. The result is over 810 hp, although torque figures have not yet been announced.
Importantly, this is not just a drag racing pickup. It will likely be able to do that, but it should also excel in other conditions. As much as possible for a vehicle that was never designed for speed and is objectively burdened by immense weight.
Suspension and Chassis
Shelby worked closely with King Shocks to develop its own suspension system. It includes adjustable Race Series 2.5 coilovers and rear shocks, as well as stabilizer bar links and a lift system. This improves on-road handling and off-road capability. Massive 35-inch BFGoodrich KO3 tires are mounted on 22-inch wheels. Huge perforated Baer brake discs help stop this machine.
Design and Interior
The anniversary pickup features an aggressive “muscle truck” style. It comes with a functional hood scoop, an updated grille, fender vents, wheel arch extensions, side steps, and racing stripes. Buyers can choose from 10 body colors and six stripe options. Matching grille badging is available for the first time.
Inside, there is leather upholstery, carbon fiber elements, aluminum pedals, embroidered floor mats, digital gauges, and serialized anniversary plaques.
Price and Limitations
Production is limited to 600 pickups in the USA. The suggested retail price is $140,795. This includes the cost of the base F-150 Lariat, which is valued at approximately $77,170. Thus, buyers pay over $60,000 just for the Shelby upgrades. For comparison, this is the price of a new 405 hp Ranger Raptor, which starts at $57,270. However, in a world where six-figure pickups no longer surprise anyone, the line for this model is likely already forming.
It is worth noting that the 2026 Shelby F-150 Super Snake is not just another powerful pickup. It demonstrates how the high-performance truck market has evolved over the past decade. While such projects were once rare, they have now become a separate niche where buyers are willing to pay significant sums for uniqueness, power, and engineering solutions. The collaboration with King Shocks and the use of Borla components emphasize that this is not just a marketing ploy, but an attempt to create a truly balanced vehicle capable of both speed and certain off-road adventures. The high price, almost double that of the base pickup, reflects not only the cost of the parts but also the premium status and limited production run, making this model a desirable object for collectors and enthusiasts.
