Mattel’s Brick Shop has released seven new sets that will make you forget about Lego

New Brick Shop sets from Mattel: seven models for different skill levels

Mattel, known for its Brick Shop construction sets, which since their launch in 2025 have been producing realistic cars that are a worthy competitor to Lego, is expanding its lineup. Seven new sets are on the way, with prices ranging from $21.59 to $129.59.

Star of the collection: Lamborghini Miura P400 SV

The highlight is the Lamborghini Miura P400 SV model in 1:12 scale, part of the Premium series. This set consists of 1,524 pieces and features “opening doors, a removable roof, and a highly detailed interior.” It includes a metal-coated engine and “premium metal elements,” such as several sets of wheels, exhaust tips, and a steering wheel.

The set is intended for children aged 17 and up and costs $129.59. It is quite expensive, but it includes a Hot Wheels die-cast model in 1:64 scale, as well as accessories for customizing the car.

Mid-level: Elite Series with three new additions

The Elite Series has received three new sets, each priced at $53.99. The most interesting is the 1984 Audi Sport quattro model in 1:16 scale, made from 864 pieces. It features functional hood, trunk, and doors, as well as a removable roof for viewing the interior.

The model also has functional steering and metal wheel caps licensed from RAYS. This set also includes a Hot Wheels die-cast model in 1:64 scale, stickers, lighting elements, and parts for creating a rally style.

Fans can also purchase the Aston Martin Vantage GT3 or the 1994 Toyota Supra MKIV. The first consists of 793 pieces, and the second of 824 pieces, including a nitrous oxide tank in the trunk.

Entry-level: Speed Series for beginners

Finally, the Speed Series offers three new sets at $21.59 each. Despite the affordable price, the Lamborghini Huracán Sterrato and Corvette C8.R models look quite attractive.

Both models are in 1:32 scale and consist of approximately 260 pieces. They have opening doors and a removable roof, as well as a Hot Wheels die-cast model in 1:64 scale.

They are joined by the lowered 1983 Chevrolet Silverado model. This set has only 223 pieces, several sets of wheels, and a die-cast toy.

The Lamborghini Miura P400 SV model is already available for pre-order, while other sets will go on sale later.

These new products demonstrate how Mattel continues to develop the concept of affordable yet detailed construction sets that can appeal to both children and adult collectors. It is worth noting that the inclusion of a Hot Wheels die-cast model in each set adds extra value, especially for those who collect series toys. Additionally, the variety of difficulty levels — from simple 223 pieces to complex 1,524 pieces — allows everyone to find something to their liking, regardless of experience. This approach could make Brick Shop a serious player in the construction set market, offering an alternative to traditional brands with a more flexible pricing policy.
