Discounts on Volkswagen for Costco Members
Costco members in the US now have the opportunity to save on purchasing a new Volkswagen. This became possible thanks to a new partnership between the warehouse club and the German automaker. The promotion will run until the end of August, so those interested should hurry.
Offer Details
Discounts apply to three specific VW models. Atlas buyers will benefit the most: Executive Members cardholders can save $1,250, while Gold Star and Business Members can save up to $1,000. The same discount structure applies to the Atlas Cross Sport, which is technically very close to the standard Atlas.
Family buyers should consider the 2026 Tiguan — the third model with exclusive Costco discounts. For Gold Star and Business Members, savings will be $1,000, and for Executive Members — $1,250. While these amounts are not huge, every dollar counts.
How to Use the Offer
Those interested in purchasing one of these models must first register on the Costco website from August 1 to August 31. After that, they will receive a discount certificate that can be used at any participating VW dealership. Delivery of the new car must be completed by September 14.
Simplifying the Car Buying Process

“The Costco Auto Program is pleased to offer more options, more value, and ongoing access to exclusive incentives for its members,” said Jay Maxwell, General Manager of the program. “These new offers expand access to sought-after brands while reinforcing our commitment to delivering an exceptional car buying experience with great value.”
The Costco Auto Program was created to simplify the process of buying a new car, as Costco negotiates prices directly with dealers. The company frequently launches promotional campaigns for various brands, including Audi last year, but such offers usually last only a few months. In addition to current Volkswagen discounts, Costco offers savings on Volvo models XC40, XC60, XC90, EX30, EX40, EX90, and V60 Cross Country, as well as on Chrysler Pacifica and Chevrolet Bolt.
Such partnerships between large retail chains and automakers are becoming an increasingly popular strategy to attract buyers. For Costco, it is a way to boost club member loyalty by offering unique benefits that go beyond regular merchandise. For Volkswagen, which is actively updating its lineup in the US, it is an opportunity to increase sales in late summer when demand for new cars traditionally dips slightly. It is worth noting that while the discounts are not record-breaking, they could be a decisive factor for those already considering these models, especially when combined with other dealer offers.
