Rezvani has unveiled a teaser for its upcoming supercar called the Dune. This car appears to be inspired by the Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato, which was designed for off-road driving. The new Dune promises to be a bold step for the manufacturer.
Inspiration from Lamborghini
The Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato became an unexpected hit among supercars built for rallying. Unfortunately, this model is now in the past as the company has focused on the new Temerario. However, Rezvani seems to be reviving this idea with its Dune. The car’s presentation is scheduled for the end of this month, and it is already being called the brand’s “boldest creation.”
Technical Features
The company is keeping details secret but has confirmed that the model will feature a unique carbon fiber body kit, aggressive tires, and a raised suspension with “significant” improvements. The teaser images also show additional headlights, roof rails, and likely a roof air intake. The front of the car resembles a Lamborghini, but the rear is unique: it lacks a rear window and features new taillights with round accents and thin strips.
Engine and Performance
The car will receive a mid-mounted supercharged 5.2-liter V10 engine producing up to 800 hp (597 kW). It will be paired with an all-wheel drive system, allowing it to maintain performance even after the asphalt ends. For comparison, the Huracan Sterrato had a 44 mm lift, a wider track, and underbody protection, and its engine produced 602 hp and 560 Nm of torque, enabling it to accelerate to 100 km/h in 3.4 seconds and reach a top speed of 260 km/h.
Limited Series
Production of the Dune will be limited to just seven units. Rezvani is already accepting refundable deposits of $1,500. More information will appear later this month, but the company notes:
The Dune is not just a lifted supercar. It is a completely new kind of performance vehicle — a machine that combines the thrilling theatrics of an exotic car with the freedom to travel far beyond where exotic cars were ever meant to go.
Thus, the Rezvani Dune is not just a tribute to the Huracan Sterrato but also an attempt to create a unique hybrid between a supercar and an SUV. The limited series of seven cars makes it exclusive, and the 800 hp power output significantly surpasses the original’s figures. This may indicate that the company is targeting a niche market where buyers value not only speed but also the ability to handle challenging roads. It is worth noting that Rezvani already has experience creating extreme vehicles, such as the Tank, so the Dune could be a logical continuation of this lineup, focused on off-road capability and luxury.
