by New tuning package for Audi SQ5 from ABT
German tuning atelier ABT Sportsline has introduced an updated package for the Audi SQ5, which includes exterior changes and an increase in engine power.
Exterior Updates
The new generation Q5 appeared earlier this year, bringing sharper lines and more technology to one of Audi’s most popular SUVs. However, despite the update, a full-fledged RS version is still absent, so the SQ5 remains the most powerful option in the lineup.
German tuning atelier ABT Sportsline offers a more powerful, more manageable, and visually expressive version of the SQ5 for drivers who believe Audi didn’t do enough.
The modified SUV immediately stands out thanks to an aerodynamic package that includes a front spoiler, a body-colored rear diffuser, and a larger roof spoiler. The result looks cohesive and harmonious with the factory design.
Exterior and Details
The glossy black 22-inch ABT Evo wheels, which debut on this sports SUV, are particularly impressive. An alternative is the 20-inch Sport GR wheels with a classic multi-spoke design.
At the rear, four exhaust pipes made of stainless steel, painted in matte black, are installed. They have a diameter of four inches, giving the car a more aggressive look.
There are few changes inside: only branded floor mats and ABT logo lighting.
Power Increase
Under the hood is an improved version of the turbocharged 3.0 TFSI V6 engine, which now produces 435 horsepower and 600 Nm of torque. This is 72 hp and 50 Nm more than the standard version, thanks to the ABT Power S module.
The same modification was recently applied to the Audi S5 Avant, which uses the same engine.
The additional power is combined with lowered suspension, which reduces the SQ5’s ground clearance by 45 mm, making it resemble a compact Q8.
Availability and Options
The updates from ABT are presented for the regular SQ5, but a similar kit (except for the rear spoiler) is also suitable for the SQ5 Sportback. The company has not yet announced prices, but interested customers can contact ABT directly for information.
