Brabus asks for an electric bike with 31 horsepower a price like a BMW S 1000 RR

Brabus presents three new electric motorcycles

The German tuning atelier Brabus, known for its powerful cars, has now turned its attention to the world of two wheels. In collaboration with the French motorcycle manufacturer DAB, three new electric models have been created: the DAB 1a Brabus, the Brabus Urban E, and the Brabus Urban E First Edition. These bikes are reportedly perfect for city commuting.

All three models are based on the existing DAB 1a but offer different performance levels and unique design. Here are the key features:

DAB 1a Brabus: the base model

This model is finished in black with exposed carbon fiber elements on the sump guard, front fender, and engine cover inserts. It also received matte black wheel covers and an Alcantara seat with grey stitching, giving it a low-profile and inconspicuous look.

The powertrain consists of a 7.1 kWh lithium-ion battery that powers a rear electric motor with 31 hp and 291 lb-ft of torque. According to Brabus, the motorcycle can reach speeds of up to 93 mph on a single charge, and charging time from 20 to 100 percent from a standard household outlet is about 3 hours.

Brabus Urban E: enhanced performance

This version raises the stakes with an upgraded motor that delivers 37 hp and 350 lb-ft of torque. The Urban E also features carbon fiber air intakes on the left and around the engine for cooling, while the battery pack remains untouched.

Other updates include new parts painted in gloss black with red accents and carbon fiber elements. The wheel covers are also made of carbon fiber, vertical daytime running lights have been added, as well as a supermoto-style handlebar with CNC-machined aluminum levers. Brabus also added keyless start to this model and several different riding modes: Eco, Street, Sport, Nitrous, and Reverse. Furthermore, there is a fully adjustable suspension and upgraded Brembo brakes.

Brabus Urban E First Edition: exclusivity

Completing the trio is the Urban E First Edition. It has all the same features as the regular Urban E but is offered in four distinctive colors: Peetch, Desert Sand, Superviolet, and Fusion Red. The production run for each color will be limited to just 10 units.

The prices for the new models are quite high. The base model DAB 1a Brabus starts from 16,590 euros, the Urban E costs from 20,800 euros, and the First Edition is 32,500 euros. For comparison, a brand new BMW S 1000 RR, a top-tier sportbike with over 215 hp and a full set of equipment, can be purchased for approximately 25,000 euros. This is another example of how different products are designed for different needs and audiences.

The emergence of such models from Brabus clearly indicates the growing demand for premium electric vehicles, even in the motorcycle niche. They are positioned not just as a means of transportation, but as a luxury item and a technological accessory that combines innovation with the brand’s recognizable aggressive design. Their cost, which exceeds the prices of some powerful sports motorcycles with internal combustion engines, confirms this status. The success of these models on the market will show whether motorcycle enthusiasts are ready to pay a premium for environmental friendliness and exclusivity in a segment traditionally dominated by gasoline engines and other performance metrics.
