The fact is, the new Renault Duster 2019 in Russia is an improved version of the 1st generation model, which was replaced by the second generation in Ukraine at the beginning of 2018. Why are we specifically talking about Ukraine?
Because our country was the first in the world where the Renault Duster 2 (not Dacia) went on sale.
The new Russian Duster almost exactly repeats the European first-generation Duster after the facelift, which appeared in our country 2 years ago. By the way, it was the latest updated Duster 1 that we compared with Duster 2 in our test drive. It has a steering wheel like the second Duster, a start-stop system, but lacks many of the amenities found in the latest generation model. This includes climate control, blind spot monitoring, etc.
The updated Duster 2019 in Russia still has ergonomic flaws left by the model that has already left the production line (in Europe), but it has new configurations and some innovations such as a separate button for turning on the windshield heater and a tire pressure sensor.
There is also combined seat upholstery, black central pillars, and wheels of a new design. In all other respects, it is the same first-generation Duster, which is better than the earliest versions but is certainly worse in appearance and equipment level (and comfort) than the fresh model, which, by the way, has been a sales leader in the new car market in Ukraine for several months.
