Peugeot unveils production e-208 GTi: first official photos
Peugeot has released the first images of the production version of the electric hatchback e-208 GTi. The model is very close to last year’s concept and features numerous red accents in its design. Full technical specifications will be announced next week, but it is already known that the car may have 276 horsepower.
A striking design: almost like the concept
Almost a year ago, on the eve of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, Peugeot presented the e-208 GTi concept. Now the manufacturer returns with the production model, which will be fully revealed on June 12. Although the company keeps details under wraps, it has published several images and noted that the model “remains incredibly close to the original 2025 concept.” The manufacturer added that the car has a “sporty yet elegant design” and “features that are meant to impress.”

The hot hatch looks the part: it features a slightly updated lion logo with a red frame. The sporty touch is also present on the outer edges of the radiator grille and integrated into the lighting units. Added to this is an updated front splitter painted in the body color.
Sporty accents and aerodynamics
Further on, one can notice glossy black mirrors and dark window moldings. Other features include black wheel arch extensions with red accents, as well as a “208 GTi” badge on the C-pillar. The car appears to be equipped with aerodynamically optimized seven-spoke alloy wheels, complemented by a braking system with red calipers.
The rear end has remained largely unchanged, but the car has received a new spoiler with a contrasting red accent on the underside. It is complemented by a significantly more aggressive diffuser and a motorsport-style center brake light.

Interior: sporty spirit in the details
Changes inside the cabin are more modest, but we see a slightly updated flat-bottomed steering wheel with the inscription “208 GTi.” Additionally, sporty front seats with red central stripes have been installed. Other features include red contrast stitching, red ambient lighting, and special graphics for the displays.
Technical specifications: power and range
Full details will be revealed next week, but the concept had a 54 kWh CATL battery powering an electric motor with 276 hp (206 kW / 280 PS) and 345 Nm of torque. This allowed the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.7 seconds, with a top speed of 180 km/h.
Other features included a limited-slip differential and 100 kW DC fast charging capability, allowing the battery to be charged from 20% to 80% in less than 30 minutes. Although Peugeot initially hinted at a range of 350 km, the production model’s instrument panel indicates 375 km between charges.
Thus, the Peugeot e-208 GTi becomes a direct competitor to other electric hot hatches, offering not only impressive dynamics but also a practical range. The arrival of this model marks an important step for the French brand in the segment of affordable sports electric vehicles, where there are not many offerings yet. It is worth noting that the manufacturer has retained almost all the stylistic solutions of the concept, which is rare for production cars, and this will undoubtedly attract the attention of brand enthusiasts and connoisseurs of striking design.
