Honda Hid the Name Bulldog for Many Years, Now It’s Placing It on the Doors

New Accessory Series for the Electric Hatchback

Honda Access has introduced a new set of accessories called “Bulldog Style” for the Super-One electric hatchback in Japan. This set of parts visually brings the modern model closer to its spiritual predecessor, the famous Honda City Turbo II from the 1980s, which had the nickname “Bulldog”.

Styling Details and Kit Elements

The “Bulldog Style” kit includes a number of elements that give the car a more aggressive and sporty appearance. The central element is a new roof-mounted rear spoiler, which is significantly larger than the standard one and painted black to match the roof color and emblems. Red stickers with the inscription “Bulldog” are applied to the doors, trunk, and front bumper, reproducing the design of the original Turbo II decals. Beneath this inscription, smaller text reading “electric power” can be seen, emphasizing the model’s electric nature.

The kit is more restrained compared to the Mugen catalog, which was presented just a few days ago.

Additional Visual Enhancements

The kit also includes new two-color LED fog lights installed on the bumper. They can emit white or yellow light and feature black trim. Furthermore, Honda Access offers a new set of 15-inch alloy wheels with six double spokes, painted black.

Technical Features of the Super-One

It should be noted that the base Super-One model already has aggressive body kits, including widened fenders and deep bumpers. Technically, the electric hatchback is equipped with a single electric motor that develops 63 hp in normal mode and up to 94 hp in “Boost” mode. The model also features an active sound system that simulates gear shifts and engine noise through speakers, and a unique chassis setup with stiffer dampers and a wider track compared to the base N-One kei car.

Presentation and Availability

The model with the “Bulldog Style” accessories was presented at the Automobile Council 2026 exhibition in Chiba, where it stood next to the original City Turbo II. Pre-orders for the Super-One along with the new accessory catalog are already open in Japan, with the official sales launch scheduled for May. Official prices for the accessories are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.

This move by Honda demonstrates an interesting market trend: combining modern electric technologies with a vivid design heritage from the past. The “Bulldog Style” accessories are not just decorative additions; they create a bridge between eras, appealing to nostalgia and the collectible value of the original models. Such a decision could be effective in attracting both classic car enthusiasts and new buyers who value individuality. The success of this initiative could set the tone for further collaborations between modern electric platforms and the brand’s historical design codes.
