Someone Paid $50,500 for a Lamborghini That Has Already Sunk Underwater

On the water, you can encounter many amazing things, but this boat undoubtedly attracts attention. It looks like a real supercar, although in reality it hides a completely different engine under the hood.

Supercar Boat from Florida

If you have ever been to Florida or live there, you may have seen small jet boats whose design is inspired by the most exotic road cars. This week, one of these boats was sold at a Bring a Trailer auction. It is an exact replica of the Lamborghini Aventador SVJ.

Built by Watersports Car in Miami, this boat can be misleading if seen from a distance. Of course, the proportions give away its true essence, but thanks to its bright pink, white, and turquoise color scheme, it looks much more interesting than an ordinary boat.

Details That Imitate Luxury

Like the real Aventador, the boat has a sharp front end, angular headlights, and wheels trimmed with imitation carbon fiber. The rear features a dramatic wing, diffuser, and taillights borrowed from the V12 supercar. The interior, though breaking the illusion, is also finished with leather and carbon fiber to maintain the appearance of luxury.

Under the boat’s hood is a 1.8-liter four-cylinder Yamaha engine producing 250 hp. According to the listing, the engine has only been run for six hours under the current owner.

The boat comes with a single-axle trailer, which greatly simplifies transportation to the water.

Cost and Prospects

The boat was sold for $50,500. While this is a substantial amount, it is significantly less than the original price of $84,700. The new owner can use it for personal enjoyment or rent it out by the hour, trying to recoup the investment before the novelty wears off.

This case demonstrates how the design of exotic cars inspires the creation of unusual watercraft. Despite the boat not having a powerful V12 engine, its appearance and limited mileage make it an interesting exhibit for collectors or simply lovers of the unusual. The auction sale at a price much lower than the original indicates that the market for such unique items can be quite niche, and finding a buyer willing to pay the full price is not always easy. However, for someone looking to stand out on the water, this boat could be the ideal choice.
