The fact is that the key fob for keyless access constantly transmits a code. This is made so that the central lock opens immediately as the owner approaches the car with the key. Naturally, in this case, it is much easier for criminals to intercept the code with a grabber – it is enough to get within 5-6 m of the owner.
Moreover, the crypto-protection of most cars is very weak. During the study, the Audi TT RS and DS3 Crossback were unlocked this way in just 5 seconds, the Mercedes A-Class in 30 seconds, and the BMW X3 and Ford Fiesta in 40 seconds. 
In general, most keyless access cars are unlocked in 30-60 seconds, which is several times faster than cars with an ordinary central lock. However, there are exceptions: the new Land Rover Discovery was unlocked in 20 seconds, but couldn’t be started. The thing is, its key fob transmits a signal at multiple frequencies and intercepting it is difficult.
Many automakers add a motion sensor to the key. If it lies in one place for a long time, it deactivates and does not transmit a signal. Also noted is Tesla’s keyless access system using a smartphone – a pin code must be entered there. In general, WhatCar experts recommend carrying the key fob in a special case that blocks the signal. In addition, in many cars, keyless access can be disabled.
