Lincoln Found a Way to Bring the Northern Lights Indoors

New Interior Design for Lincoln Nautilus

Owners of the 2026 Lincoln Nautilus models will have the opportunity to enjoy the Aurora Borealis effect right inside the car’s cabin thanks to a new design theme. While it cannot fully replicate the stunning beauty of the real Aurora Borealis, this option promises to become popular among buyers.

Features of the Aurora Theme

Customers who choose the Aurora theme for the Nautilus Black Label version will receive an interior dominated by dark blue Allura Blue leather on the seats, ceiling, and carpets, complemented by metallic details. The seats also feature new perforations and embossing, while copper accents add extra sophistication to the cabin.

Lincoln added Mahogany Red accents to the door panels, dashboard, and steering wheel, combined with Herringbone wood. For the maximum Northern Lights effect, the displays can be switched to a mode that reproduces the color shapes and patterns of the night sky.

Technologies and Additional Options

This feature first appeared in the 2025 Navigator model. The screens can display the polar lights when the Lincoln Rejuvenate mode is activated, the driver’s seat is reclined, and the heating and massage functions are turned on, accompanied by relaxing graphics.

Among other options is the Black Label in the Chalét version, which offers a cream-white leather interior with contrasting dark brown accents.

Benefits of the Black Label Series

Currently, Lincoln offers Black Label versions for the Nautilus, Aviator, and Navigator models. As of October, these models accounted for 11 percent of the brand’s total sales.

Owners of Black Label series cars receive the most fully-equipped versions of each model, access to unique design themes, as well as the Lincoln Access Rewards loyalty program, free car washes, access to curated events, and standard premium maintenance.

The introduction of innovations such as the Aurora theme demonstrates the growing competition in the premium SUV market, where manufacturers are trying to differentiate their products through unique design and technology. This also reflects the trend towards car personalization, where buyers are increasingly looking for ways to express their individuality through aesthetic and functional solutions. The growth in the sales share of the Black Label series indicates that customers are willing to invest in additional benefits that enhance the comfort and status of their vehicle.
