The official presentation of the Mercedes-Benz EQC 2019 took place in Stockholm. The first Mercedes electric car will go on sale in spring 2019, and will soon be followed by other electric cars from the EQ lineup.

Design of Mercedes-Benz EQC 2019

The new Mercedes-Benz EQC is a five-seat crossover with a length of 4760 mm, a width of 1885 mm, and a height of 1623 mm. The car weighs 2425 kg, and its trunk volume is 500 liters.

In terms of design, it differs little from the pre-series concept car of 2016. Except for the fact that it has a more traditional grille without diode lighting. However, the optics are LED. Interestingly, the electric crossover even offers an AMG package with body kits and a different grille.

The EQC’s interior layout is familiar from other modern Mercedes-Benz models. The virtual instrument panel and multimedia touchscreen are located next to each other (both displays are 10.25 inches), and the front seats are separated by a slanted center console.

For navigation in the multimedia menu, the Mercedes crossover received a touchpad and small touchpads on the steering wheel. Other features of the model include climate control with remote control from a smartphone. All Mercedes-Benz EQC 2019 feature a semi-autonomous driving system and road sign recognition technology.

 

Specifications of Mercedes-Benz EQC 2019

The Mercedes electric car is equipped with two motors (one on each axle) with a total power of 402 hp and a torque of 765 Nm. Acceleration to a hundred takes 5.1 seconds, and the maximum speed is limited to 180 km/h.

The 80 kWh lithium-ion battery provides a range of 450 km. A special “fast” charger allows the battery to be recharged by 80% in 40 minutes.
