Bentley has announced a new version of its popular Bentayga crossover, which will become the most dynamic in the model’s history. The car is promised to be faster and more powerful than even the top-tier Bentayga Speed. Among the expected characteristics are a V8 engine with over 626 hp, an Akrapovič exhaust system, and acceleration to 100 km/h in less than 3.9 seconds.
The presentation of the novelty is scheduled for June 2. Bentley emphasizes that this will be a “new flagship solution in the lineup” with more emotional handling and the possibility of controlled drifting thanks to the updated ESC Dynamic Mode stability system.
Technical details
The new Bentayga will feature a twin-turbo V8 without hybrid technologies, significantly surpassing the performance of the standard version with the same engine (542 hp, 4.4 seconds to 100 km/h). The design will highlight the model’s sporty character: black emblems, a diffuser, and a more aggressive chassis setup.
The previous Bentayga Speed with a W12 engine was already considered the pinnacle of performance in the lineup, but the new model is set to surpass it. The company emphasizes the uniqueness of the settings, which will allow the driver to experience true driving excitement, unusual for large luxury SUVs.
This move by Bentley shows that the brand continues to experiment with performance, even after abandoning the legendary W12 engine. The focus on “driving” and handling may attract a new audience looking for a combination of luxury and sporty qualities.
