Bentley Bentayga Speed gets a more powerful engine and improved dynamics

Bentley has unveiled the updated version of its flagship SUV, the Bentayga Speed, for the 2026 model year. The main change was the switch from the W12 engine to a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8, which now delivers 641 hp (650 PS) and 850 Nm of torque. Although power increased by 15 hp, torque decreased by 50 Nm compared to its predecessor.

Despite this, acceleration has improved: the Bentayga Speed goes from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.6 seconds, which is 0.3 seconds faster than before. The top speed has increased to 310 km/h. Bentley engineers have also retuned the suspension, adding a Sport mode with stiffer damping and improved handling.

Technological updates and design

Other innovations include a Launch Control system, torque vectoring by braking, and all-wheel steering. For those who appreciate engine sound, an optional titanium Akrapovic exhaust system is available.

Exterior changes are minimal: new 22- or 23-inch wheels, darkened headlights, and updated safety sensors. The interior retains premium materials, including diamond-quilted seats and custom color accents.

The price of the Bentayga Speed in the UK starts at £219,000 but can increase significantly depending on additional options. The updated model is already available for order.

These changes make the Bentayga Speed even more competitive in the luxury SUV segment, where dynamics and technology are becoming increasingly important to buyers. Bentley continues to balance comfort and sportiness, even in such large vehicles.
