by In Czechia, the new generation of Skoda Octavia was captured during tests. There are about three months left until the model’s premiere–it will be shown in October for Octavia’s 60th anniversary. 
Earlier, the paparazzi had already captured the Skoda Octavia Combi wagon, and now the liftback has been spotted. Although it’s in camouflage, you can see the wide grille and elongated LED headlights. Apparently, the Czechs have abandoned the peculiar optics of the current model.
It is known that the new Skoda Octavia 2020 will be built on the same MQB platform but will grow to 4.7 m in length and become more expensive. This decision is due to the introduction of the C-class hatchback Skoda Scala. 
The new Skoda Octavia will be equipped with a 48-volt hybrid system for the first time. It is expected to feature gasoline turbo engines with displacements of 1.0, 1.5, and 2.0 liters, as well as turbo diesels with displacements of 1.6 and 2.0 liters. Photo: auto.cz
