The Aurus lineup is expanding: joining the sedan, limousine, SUV, and van is a convertible. It was spotted during a parade rehearsal for May 9 in the Moscow region.
The new Aurus convertible looks very much like a Rolls-Royce and, unlike its siblings, is a two-door. It also has reduced ground clearance, and the interior is trimmed with waterproof materials.
Like all Cortege project cars, it is equipped with a Porsche-developed hybrid system with 590 hp and a turbocharged V8.
However, the reliability of the cars raises questions: recently, photos of a broken-down Aurus Senat sedan appeared online. It will be interesting to see if the convertible manages not to stall at the parade.
Despite the gradual appearance of new Aurus models, their production launch is delayed. They were supposed to be produced starting in early 2018, but now the launch of the assembly line has been postponed to the end of 2020.
