First Look at the Updated 2027 Nissan Rogue
This is the first image of the all-new 2027 Nissan Rogue, which will become an important part of the company’s new era. The car will hit the market with the latest e-Power hybrid system. The new model will appear in the USA and Canada later this year.
Among the key features of the new model, the following can be highlighted:
Radical New Design
Although many key details of the new Rogue remain a secret, it clearly differs from the previous model thanks to a radically new design that makes its appearance sharper and more aggressive. Whether buyers will like it as much as the Honda CR-V, Toyota RAV4, and Hyundai Tucson remains to be seen, but it certainly makes a statement.
Nissan hints that more models for the USA could get e-Power after the 2027 Rogue.
The front end includes sharp daytime running lights, neatly integrated into a darkened grille that itself dominates the SUV’s front. Below are sharp triangular air intakes and a darkened area in the center of the bumper. For those who consider the new RAV4 bold, the 2027 Rogue takes things to another level.
Hybrid Powertrain

The side photo shows pronounced lines and surfaces running along the doors, in a design somewhat similar to the Hyundai Tucson. As for the rear, it features a smooth glossy black bumper, intricate LED taillights, and a full-width light bar.
More important than the Rogue’s fresh new design is the fact that it will mark the American debut of Nissan’s e-Power hybrid system. This setup consists of an internal combustion engine that functions solely as a generator, combined with Nissan’s e-Power unit that integrates an electric motor with an inverter, electric generator, reduction gear, and booster. Unlike some other hybrids, Nissan’s e-Power system drives the wheels exclusively via the electric motor, not the engine.
Nissan has not provided specifications for the e-Power setup that will propel the new Rogue, but it is likely to be the same as the one used in the X-Trail in overseas markets, which includes a 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine.
The arrival of the e-Power Rogue in the American market could be a turning point for Nissan in this key segment. The success of this model will depend not only on its bold design but also on how effectively and economically buyers perceive its hybrid technology compared to already proven competitors. It also paves the way for broader implementation of e-Power in other brand models in this market, which could significantly change the perception of Nissan as a producer of eco-friendly vehicles in North America.
