The New V8 from Lamborghini Has Already Received Its Second Body Modification

First Spy Photos of the Lamborghini Temerario Spyder

The convertible version of the new Lamborghini Temerario supercar, named the Spyder, has been spotted testing for the first time. The production model is expected to debut at the end of this year or in early 2027. The car will feature a hybrid powertrain with 907 horsepower.

Success of the Coupe and Lineup Expansion

Lamborghini unveiled the Temerario coupe back in the summer of 2024, but deliveries to customers only began in January. The model has already proven successful, as the Italian brand reported having orders for approximately a year in advance.

Now that the cars are reaching their owners, the company is preparing to expand the family. Following the GT3 racing version and the Super Trofeo concept, it’s time for the road-going, street-legal model.

This is the Temerario Spyder, which will replace the popular Huracán Spyder.

Differences Between the Convertible and the Coupe

The prototype, photographed during testing on the Nürburgring track, at first glance can easily be confused with the fixed-roof version. However, upon closer inspection, a number of subtle changes are visible.

The folding roof has abandoned the coupe’s characteristic double hump, while the convertible appears to have a significantly smaller rear window. Redesigned pillars connected by a new front support are also noticeable, as well as updated engine ventilation outlets and some other minor changes.

The camouflage hides details, but the roof will likely operate similarly to its predecessor. If so, pressing a button will raise the rear compartment lid, allowing the roof to be deployed or folded in just 17 seconds.

Interior and Technical Specifications

The familiar design will most likely be retained in the cabin, where a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, an 8.4-inch multimedia system, and a 9.1-inch display for the front passenger are expected. Minor changes are possible, including convertible-specific switches.

One thing that will not change is the hybrid powertrain. It consists of a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 engine, three electric motors, an eight-speed preselective gearbox, and a 3.8 kWh battery pack. This system gives the coupe a combined output of 907 hp and 730 Nm of torque. This allows the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.7 seconds and reach a top speed of 343 km/h.

The appearance of the Temerario Spyder is a logical step for Lamborghini, as open-top versions have always been popular among the brand’s buyers, combining extreme performance with a sense of open space. The transition to hybrid technology has not only increased power compared to the Huracán predecessor but also aligns with modern trends in the automotive industry. The success of the coupe version and high pre-demand indicate that the convertible can also expect good commercial success, continuing the tradition of powerful and emotional Italian roadsters.
