In 2008, the car was handed over to Ferrari Classiche for a factory restoration, which lasted until 2014. In 2010, Ferrari issued a certificate of authenticity and a Red Book, confirming the presence of the original engine, transmission, and body.
Throughout its history, the Ferrari 512 BB/LM has participated in club races and historic festivals in the USA, including at the Riverside and Laguna Seca tracks. The car was also displayed at the Ferrari at 50 exhibition at the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles.
