When the Raptor appeared, it was well-received, but it somewhat lacked the punch and had the same boring turbo diesel engine as the regular truck. It was very far from the Raptor many people expected. Yes, it had some impressive chassis and suspension improvements, but it didn’t live up to the Raptor name.

A few years pass, and the second generation Ranger Raptor arrives. It’s a significant change from the previous generation model, including a substantial engine upgrade that you won’t find anywhere else in this model lineup.
