by A multitude of new photos of the Toyota Land Cruiser 300 have surfaced online. The SUVs were captured at a factory warehouse in Nagoya, Japan, as well as on a car transporter. Apparently, the production of an initial pre-production batch of the Cruiser has already begun.
The photos provide an opportunity to take a detailed look at the design of the 2022 Toyota Land Cruiser, as well as see the vehicle in different colors and configurations (they differ in the designs of the grille and front bumper).
In terms of appearance, there are no revolutions, and this is a plus for the target audience. By the way, the interior of the Toyota Land Cruiser 300 – is also not exactly super modern; the base version doesn’t even have a virtual dashboard, and customers will appreciate this. However, modern options will appear – a fingerprint scanner and new safety systems will be offered.
Naturally, the new Toyota Land Cruiser 300 retained the frame, solid rear axle, and low-range gear, and for an additional fee, inter-axle differential locks will be available. The main characteristics of the 2022 Toyota Land Cruiser have also been confirmed: it reaches 4970 mm in length, 1985 mm in width, and 1870 mm in height with a wheelbase of 2970 mm.
The first to debut will be the versions with V6 gasoline engines: a 4.0-liter 280-horsepower naturally aspirated engine from the Prado and a 3.5-liter turbocharged V6 with 415 horsepower from the Lexus LS.
In 2022, a 3.3-liter 309-horsepower turbodiesel will be added, and the hybrid Toyota Land Cruiser will be introduced with a 3.5-liter 299-horsepower gasoline engine and an electric motor with 180 horsepower. All versions of the SUV will receive a new 10-speed automatic transmission.
