Photos of the Genesis GV80 from the factory conveyor in South Korea have surfaced online. The first premium crossover from Hyundai will become a competitor to the BMW X5, Lexus RX, and Mercedes GLE. The model premiere will take place in mid-December.
The Genesis GV80 has a unique design with a wide grille and slim “two-story” optics. The interior features leather and aluminum finishes.
Notable features include a two-spoke steering wheel and a gear selector knob. The car will feature a virtual instrument cluster and a large 14.5-inch touchscreen.
Most likely, the new Genesis crossover will be equipped with 2.5-liter (300 hp) and 3.5-liter (380 hp) gasoline turbo engines, as well as a three-liter 280-hp turbodiesel. There will be versions with both rear-wheel and all-wheel drive.
