However, the Bugatti La Voiture Noire is no longer the most expensive car in the world. While it was being developed, the title was claimed by the new Rolls-Royce Boat Tail for $28 million. Nonetheless, the car is still impressive.
The owner of the Bugatti is still unknown. It was previously believed to be Cristiano Ronaldo, but the star footballer denied the rumors and decided to purchase another exclusive Bugatti hypercar.
Bugatti La Voiture Noire is built on the Chiron coupe’s base but received a completely new body. It’s 45 cm longer than the donor, and the wheelbase has increased by 25 cm. The design is in the spirit of the iconic 1937 Bugatti 57SC Atlantic. Moreover, the hypercar has six exhaust pipes.
Compared to the prototype, the coupe differs in only a few details like new wheels. The interior is trimmed with exclusive brown leather. It’s powered by a familiar 8.0-liter turbocharged W16 engine with 1500 hp.
