It should be noted that the civilian G-Wagon of the current generation was introduced in 2018, while its military version has been in production since 1992.
The military variant differs from the standard Mercedes G-Class 2021 with its robust steel bumpers, off-road tires, and snorkel. Additionally, the SUV retains its characteristic plastic grille.
The new Mercedes G-Class W464 is equipped with LED optics and 24-volt electrical equipment for the first time. It is offered exclusively with a 3.0-liter 245-horsepower turbo diesel engine and an 8-speed automatic transmission.
It is noteworthy that the military SUV retains solid axles on both axles, whereas the regular G-Wagon has been updated with an independent front suspension. Naturally, the four-wheel drive is complemented by a low-range gear and differential locks.
