Renault stops the Moscow plant again. The enterprise managed to work only three days.
The Renault plant in Moscow was launched on March 21 after three weeks of downtime. However, the press secretary of the concern, Ri Yamane, reported that the conveyor will be stopped again tomorrow.

The reasons for such maneuvers were not explained by Renault Group. Most likely, the French decided to assemble cars from the components available in the warehouse, which was enough for only a few days.
By the way, for the same reason, VAZ plants are not operating – they tried to launch them, but eventually extended the downtime until March 25. Additionally, they announced that from April 4 to 24, all workers will be sent on vacation.
Earlier, TopGir wrote that Renault Group is not in a hurry to leave the Russian market, which accounts for 18% of the concern’s sales. In 2021, Renault and their owned VAZ sold a total of 482,264 cars in Russia. Later it became known that the French are afraid of nationalization of plants.
