by The organization EuroNCAP, responsible for European crash tests, has summed up the year’s work. The safest cars of 2018 have been named. Naturally, all of them received the highest rating of 5 stars. 
In the segment of small family cars, the Mercedes-Benz A-Class hatchback became the best. The car scored 96% for adult protection, 91% for children, and 92% for pedestrian safety in a collision.
The electronic safety systems were also rated at 75%. 
Among large family cars, the safest is the Lexus ES. Its scores are 91% for adults, 87% for children, 90% for pedestrians, and 77% for electronic assistants. 
Among crossovers and SUVs, the hydrogen-powered electric car Hyundai Nexo was noted. It received 94% for adult safety, 87% for children, 67% for pedestrians, and scored 80% for electronic systems.
