Silpo asks Elon Musk for Tesla Semi cargo electric vehicles

The «Silpo» supermarket chain has reached out to Elon Musk with a request to deliver Tesla Semi electric trucks. No, this is not a belated April Fool’s joke – it was written about in Silpo’s official Twitter.

The Ukrainian company explains that the russians are constantly bombing oil depots in various cities, which threatens a fuel shortage. Without diesel, the delivery of products to supermarkets is under threat.

Tesla Semi electric vehicles will allow independence from petroleum products. Additionally, they can be tested to the limit in wartime conditions.

However, Elon Musk has not yet responded. Moreover, it’s not certain that he has a sufficient number of Tesla Semis. The production of the cargo electric vehicle only started at the end of December and is currently being assembled in small batches.

Full-scale production will not begin until 2023. Furthermore, the first 750 vehicles have already been snapped up by companies like PepsiCo, Walmart, Anheuser-Busch InBev, DHL, and FedEx.

It is worth noting that the new Tesla Semi is available in versions with a range of 480 and 800 km. The cargo electric vehicle accelerates to 100 km/h in just 5 seconds and costs between 150,000 and 200,000 dollars.

As is known, Elon Musk has supported Ukraine not just in words but in deeds – he provided equipment for his satellite internet Starlink. Additionally, he expressed a desire to fight with putin and is trolling kadyrov.
