by The situation around diesel Volkswagen Golfs from the USA has become one of the most high-profile scandals in the automotive industry in the history of Ukraine. Recall that the Chief Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs declared the certificates of conformity invalid for all 2800 station wagons imported from America.
Recently, it became known that the parties are close to solving the problem. The company “Porsche Ukraine”, which imported the Volkswagen Golf Sportwagen, informed the agency “Interfax-Ukraine” that most likely, the cars will be certified and re-registered.
At the same time, the importer promised to cover all costs and actively assist Volkswagen Golf owners in quickly resolving the issue. Currently, a check is being conducted for possible discrepancies in the issuance of certificates for the cars. Then a procedure for re-registering VW Golfs will be developed.
Moreover, “Porsche Ukraine” reported that all Volkswagen station wagons are safe and suitable for full use. Additionally, it is reported that diesel Audi A3s from the USA will not face similar certification issues.
