by In the USA, a 1979 Porsche 928 was sold at the Barrett-Jackson auction. The car seems not to be very exclusive, but it fetched as much as 1.98 million dollars – equivalent to five Lamborghini Aventadors.
The point is that this Porsche 928 coupe has a history. The car was featured in the 1983 film “Risky Business” starring Tom Cruise. This movie was what made the budding actor famous. By the way, Tom Cruise also learned to drive a manual on this car.
After filming, a collector acquired the Porsche 928 and kept it in a heated garage. So the car is well preserved and remains in exactly the same condition as in the movie.
The car is equipped with a 4.5-liter 240-horsepower V8. It accelerates to a hundred in 7 seconds and reaches a top speed of 240 km/h. By the way, there are such Porsche 928s in Ukraine as well, and thanks to TopGir, a couple of coupes were even saved from destruction.
