An exclusive Pegaso Z-102 from 1954 is put up for auction at Broad Arrow in the USA. They plan to raise from $750,000 to $900,000 for this vintage sports car. This was reported by Focus. The Spanish company Pegaso is better known for trucks and buses, but they also produced sports cars. The Z-102 was one of the fastest cars of the early 50s. In total, only 84 coupes and convertibles of the Pegaso Z-102 were produced. They were equipped with V8 engines ranging from 175 to 360 hp, with the top version reaching 243 km/h. This particular Pegaso Z-102 is one of only 18 cars with bodies from the French Saoutchik studio. Its founder is a Ukrainian-born designer Yakiv Savchik, who emigrated to France in childhood and opened a body shop in the suburbs of Paris. Yakiv Savchik’s works were always distinguished by bold avant-garde design. The Pegaso Z-102 has a very long hood, large headlights, and a curved roof. This sports car is equipped with a 2.8-liter V8 engine producing 195 hp and can accelerate to 200 km/h. The Pegaso Z-102 has been restored and looks great. The sports car has won awards at various retro festivals multiple times.
