The Fresh Look of the 2026 Land Rover Doesn’t Hide Its True Age

Land Rover Discovery Sport Update

Land Rover has introduced an updated version of its Discovery Sport SUV, which has been on the market for a long time. The model, which debuted back in 2014, has received new trim levels and additional options. Among them are the Landmark, with a focus on active recreation, and the Metropolitan, oriented towards urban drivers.

However, rumors are already circulating in the market that the Discovery Sport will soon be replaced by the new Defender Sport. Although there is no official confirmation from the company yet, prototype testing suggests possible changes in the lineup.

New Trim Levels and Features

The base Dynamic S version now features updated wheels and glossy black exterior elements. The Landmark trim offers a panoramic roof, cameras for off-road safety, and special logos with mountain landscapes. The Metropolitan, in turn, is distinguished by premium options, such as:

Accessory kits for various types of recreation are also available: beach, travel, or winter activities. Among them are center console refrigerators, sunscreens, and roof cargo boxes.

The technical part remains unchanged: all-wheel drive and a range of four-cylinder engines, including diesel and hybrid versions for the European market.

Despite the updates, the Discovery Sport remains one of the oldest models in the Land Rover lineup. The future Defender Sport may become a more modern alternative, but for now, the company is focusing on the current version, adding to its appeal with new options and design solutions.
