Toyota Aygo X receives a hybrid powertrain and a more aggressive design

Updated Toyota Aygo X: hybrid, power, and sporty style

The urban crossover Toyota Aygo X has undergone an update, receiving a hybrid powertrain from the larger Yaris model. This has improved performance and reduced CO2 emissions to 86 g/km. Instead of the old 1.0L petrol engine, a 1.5L hybrid unit with an electric motor is now used.

The new version accelerates to 100 km/h in less than 10 seconds. At the same time, the previous trunk volume of 231 liters is retained, as the batteries are placed under the rear seats. The cabin has become quieter thanks to additional sound insulation and has received an updated digital instrument panel and an improved multimedia system.

GR Sport – sporty character

The GR Sport version stands out with exclusive 18-inch wheels, a honeycomb grille, and two-tone Mustard color paint. Although the power remains unchanged, Toyota engineers have recalibrated the suspension and electronic steering for more dynamic handling.

The updated Aygo X is expected to appear in European showrooms by the end of this year. Despite the use of hybrid technology, the model is expected to remain more affordable than the larger Yaris. This could be a strong argument for urban drivers looking for an eco-friendly yet sufficiently powerful option for daily use.
