Due to the war, the cool car festival OldCarLand stopped being held in Kiev, but this year they decided to organize a retro car exhibition in a reduced format. They named it ‘Stars of OldCarLand’.

Both regular OldCarLand participants and new models were brought to the exhibition. Exhibits from the ‘Wheels of History’ car museum, which recently opened in Kiev, also arrived.

The oldest car at the exhibition was the GAZ-A of 1932, which is a licensed copy of the Ford A. Among other cars from the 30s were two Buick Roadmasters, Audi Front UW225 convertibles (with front-wheel drive), Opel Super 6, and Skoda Popular.

The grand prize of the exhibition was awarded to the huge convertible Cadillac DeVille of 1966. Additionally, American cars of the 60s and 70s were represented by two Chevrolet Impalas, Pontiac Catalina, and Oldsmobile Delta 88.

Among European classics were Peugeot 203, Rolls-Royce Corniche III and Silver Spirit, Volvo 142, Ford Capri and Sierra Cosworth, Mercedes W116 and W123.

Naturally, the exhibition featured a wide range of Soviet technology. Among them were the ZIL-114 limousine, ZIM convertible, and the GAZ-23 ‘Volga’ for the KGB, powered by a 195-horsepower V8 from the ‘Seagull’ with an automatic transmission.

In addition, off-road vehicles from the Second World War, motorcycles, and interesting special vehicles like the mobile TV studio based on the Avia A21 were demonstrated.
