From the international checkpoint in Boryspil, a plane with elite cars worth over 1 million euros departed. The scandalous Lamborghini Aventador SVJ Roadster and Rolls-Royce Phantom, which were arrested at the end of 2020, flew out of Ukraine.

The vehicles were transferred by the Office of the Prosecutor General to the competent authority of the Federal Republic of Germany upon request for legal assistance in a case concerning a large-scale international fraudulent scheme associated with investing in non-existent financial products.

The investigation found that this crime was organized by citizens of Ukraine and was actually committed in Germany, Bulgaria, Serbia, and other European countries. Most participants in the criminal organization have been exposed and detained in foreign states and Ukraine.

The competent authorities of the FRG established that the Lamborghini Aventador SVJ Roadster, valued at €621,000, and the Rolls Royce Phantom, valued at €451,000, serve as evidence that they were acquired with funds obtained through fraudulent actions. At the request of German colleagues, Ukrainian law enforcement found the cars and ensured their seizure as part of international cooperation.
It should be noted that this is the first such case since Ukraine’s accession to multilateral conventions in the criminal legal sphere. It concerns the transfer of evidence in the form of movable property – elite-class cars. Previously, seized items, cultural values, and other evidence were transferred to foreign countries, writes the Prosecutor General of Ukraine Iryna Venediktova on her Facebook page.
