The day before yesterday, on February 16th, the CEO of Sherp, Yaroslav Prygara, wrote on his Facebook page about the debut of an entirely new all-terrain vehicle. Last night, the CEO indeed published a photo of the new model, albeit only one for now.
It seems that the company decided to keep things intriguing and release information in portions. Judging by the exterior features, the new Sherp appears larger than its predecessor and has an extended wheelbase. However, these are merely guesses for now – we have to wait for official data.
Notably, a scandal erupted recently online regarding a column of Sherp all-terrain vehicles driving through the streets of Chicago. The Sherps were led by rapper Kanye West – in this manner, he presented the new Yeezy Quantum sneakers.
What’s the scandal?
Russian media called the Sherps “domestic” (i.e., Russian). In reality, it’s a twofold situation, since Sherp has factories in Kyiv and Saint Petersburg, but vehicles are exported with the “Made in Ukraine” label. This was stated in an interview with the BBC by the owner of the Sherp all-terrain vehicle company, Volodymyr Shkolnyk.
P.S. Recall that today Ukrainian rescuers were handed 10 unique snow and swamp vehicles for reconnaissance and rescue operations.
