Let us remind you that now the excise needs to be calculated using the formula: base rate multiplied by volume and age coefficients of the car. For gasoline models, the base rate is 50 euros, for diesel ones – 75, if the engine volume is more than 3.5 liters, then the rate is 100 and 150 euros, respectively. During the first 90 days of the transitional period, there is a 50% discount on excise.

For 180 days, violators will be issued a minimum fine for the delay – 8500 hryvnias. Then, the amounts will increase to 34-170 thousand hryvnias. Yuzhanina’s laws have already led to chaos at the border. From November 25, uncustomed cars with Ukrainians driving are not allowed into Ukraine without paying customs duties or a deposit equivalent to those payments. Since yesterday, huge queues have formed on the Polish side of the border with Ukraine, but not everyone managed to enter before 0:00 on November 25.
