The Verkhovna Rada postponed fines for owners of cars with Euro plates

Owners of cars with Euro plates will start being fined not from May 24, but from August 24. The relevant changes to a number of laws were adopted by the Verkhovna Rada – they were supported by 236 deputies with a minimum required of 226. The head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Tax and Customs Policy, Nina Yuzhanina, reported that thus the deputies reached out to the people. Although she doubts that many cars with Euro plates will be cleared through customs in three months.

As for the fines for violating transit and temporary import rules, they remained unchanged. Let us remind you that their amount varies from 8500 to 170 thousand hryvnias.
