by In the evening, TopGir’s subscriber noticed an impressive car transporter with several vintage cars. Let’s start with the fact that these three cars are real rarities, dreamt of not only by Ukrainian vintage car collectors. But most importantly (and at the same time most sadly), until recently, they could be seen near the entrance to Feldman’s EcoPark in Kharkiv.
Let us recall that the main component of the ecopark, with an area of 140.5 hectares, was (!!!) a zoo that housed about 2,000 animals. Among them were 18 species of animals listed in the Red Book of Ukraine and 5 species of animals in the European Red List. The unique park also had exotic and rare plants. However, it came under attack by Russian artillery on the first day of the invasion, February 24: 5 animals were killed. Subsequently, throughout March, the ecopark was regularly on the front line, causing the deaths of animals, and the exact number is difficult to calculate even now. As some had to be put to sleep (especially the predators), while others were evacuated to other zoos in Ukraine.
As for the cars, one of the highlights of the Feldman EcoPark was the collection of rare cars that adorned the entrance to the territory.
Unfortunately (or fortunately), it is not known for certain what became of them all, but judging by our subscriber’s video, at least some of them were saved.
Specifically:
- Zimmer Golden Spirit (white, first on the car transporter). Only 1,400 of such cars were produced. This neovintage car has a gold-plated eagle on the radiator grille, running boards made of rare wood, a gold-plated steering wheel, crystal, and a leather box on the trunk lid.
- Ford A from 1929. It is said that this car (original) is the only one in Ukraine!
- Mercedes Gazelle (replica of a 1926 car). Unfortunately, we have little information about this car, so anyone in the know, please add to the comments.
But these 3 cars, to put it mildly, are far from all the rarities from Feldman’s collection. He has (we hope he has, not had!) no less rare cars that are true historical treasures. These include the Ford T, a Mercedes roadster, the iconic Cobra, etc. But you know, no matter how much we love cars, we still feel the most sorry for the animals… Do not confuse them with the creatures that did this to the ecopark. We mean the regular animals.
