by A collection of nine rare GAZ cars from the 1930s is being sold for 2.6 million dollars. The cars are truly unique, and many exist in only one single copy. 
The rarest GAZ cars are put up for sale by the St. Petersburg Smirnov’s Design Bureau, where these vintage cars were restored and recreated, reports Carakoom. All are built on the GAZ-M1 platform.
Some of them we have already written about earlier. 
For example, the fastest pre-war Soviet car is for sale – the GAZ GL-1 from 1938. At one time, this streamlined 100-horsepower car reached a speed of 140 km/h. A replica was built by Smirnov’s Design Bureau in 2000. 
Unique six-wheel vehicles are also being sold – an off-road vehicle GAZ-25 and a pickup GAZ-21 (not to be confused with Volga 21).
Both are preserved in a single copy. The military prototypes GAZ-61-415 and GAZ-61-416 are also unique – they come with cannons. 
The GAZ M-415 pickup comes with a dummy mortar in the body. Only a few such cars have survived to this day. The GAZ-61-73 is also rare – one of the world’s first mass-produced all-wheel-drive vehicles.
The GAZ-61-40 phaeton from 1938 is also equipped with all-wheel drive and is currently being restored. The armored vehicle BA-20 was also built on the M-car platform – a little over 2000 of these vehicles were assembled for the army.
