In Germany, a criminal stole a rare supercar, the 1985 Ferrari 288 GTO. The vehicle was taken straight during the test drive.
The Ferrari 288 coupe was on sale in Düsseldorf for 2 million euros. The thief introduced himself as a buyer to the owner and came to see the car. He then asked to take a drive behind the wheel, quickly got into the car, and sped off.
The seller of the Ferrari 288 GTO contacted the police and published a photo of the supercar on social networks hoping that someone would see the car. By the way, the thief was most likely acting on an order, as selling a rare Ferrari (only 272 cars were produced) is virtually impossible. Remember that the Ferrari 288 GTO coupe is the first production car to reach 300 km/h. It is equipped with a 2.9-liter V8 twin-turbo engine with 400 horsepower. The Ferrari supercar was initially designed for rallies, but a change in rules forced the abandonment of the racing version.
