This Supercar Could Become the Closest Analogue to the Modern McLaren F1

The New Lanzante 95-59 Supercar

Lanzante, a company known for its road-going versions of the McLaren GTR, has unveiled a new supercar called the 95-59 at the Goodwood Festival. This model commemorates the 30th anniversary of the victory of the McLaren F1 GTR, number 59, at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1995.

The car is built on a McLaren chassis and is equipped with a twin-turbo V8, but it features a unique three-seat layout and an individual carbon fiber body. The design was developed by Paul Howse, and while it bears some resemblance to the McLaren 720S/750S, its overall appearance is original.

Technical Features

The body features aerodynamic channels similar to early McLaren models, as well as aggressive optics and narrow LED lights. The rear is adorned with a titanium exhaust system installed under an active spoiler.

“This is a car I’ve always wanted to create. Nothing compares to the sensation of driving from the central position,” stated Lanzante founder Dean Lanzante.

To enhance practicality, the model features dihedral doors with glass roof panels, a three-seat interior, and a front luggage compartment. The 75-liter fuel tank allows for long journeys without frequent refueling stops.

Specifications and Cost

The 4.0-liter V8 engine produces over 850 hp and is paired with a seven-speed gearbox. For those seeking maximum performance, an optional LM30 package is offered, which reduces weight to 1250 kg.

Production is limited to 59 units, with a starting price of approximately $1.385 million. This is significantly cheaper than a new McLaren Solus GT and even most used P1s.

Lanzante has focused not only on speed but also on usability, drawing on their experience in motorsport. This makes the 95-59 not just a collector’s piece, but a true road car.
