Updates for the Ram 1500 for 2027
Ram has been actively developing recently, and the results speak for themselves: the Hemi V8 and TRX have returned. In addition, the brand has focused on powerful pickups with the Rumble Bee family.
Although the TRX and Rumble Bee are the main new models for 2027, they are not the only changes. The company has detailed additional updates, among which there are interesting additions.
New Options and Equipment
The 1500 RHO model has received several minor improvements, including a new badge on the tailgate with a “rhino head motif.” Customers will also find a new Popular Equipment Group package priced at $2,995, which includes a premium Harman Kardon audio system with 19 speakers and a Uconnect infotainment system with a 14.5-inch screen.
Additionally, the RHO, as well as the Limited and Limited Longhorn, now come standard with a 360-degree surround-view camera system. For the first time, it can be ordered for the Laramie and Rebel in Level 1 equipment groups.
As for the Limited and Limited Longhorn, these pickups now offer the option to delete RamBox. It is intended for customers who “need maximum cargo box width.”
Additional Details and Colors
Other features include a new Satin Black Symbol of Protest badge on the Tradesman, Black Express, Warlock, and Rebel models. Furthermore, the Level 2 equipment group for the Big Horn Crew Cab adds a passive entry system, while the Laramie gets standard rain sensors.
A new 2 kW onboard power system has also appeared on models with the 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine. It turns the pickup into a mobile generator thanks to two 120V outlets in the cargo bed.
Buyers will also find several new colors, including Goldilocks Pearl-Coat and the return of Flame Red Clear-Coat. The availability of the Tank Clear-Coat color has also expanded across the lineup.
Powertrains and Availability
The 2027 Ram 1500 offers seven different powertrains, ranging from the 305-horsepower (227 kW / 309 PS) Pentastar V6 to the 777-horsepower (579 kW / 788 PS) supercharged 6.2-liter Hemi V8. The pickups are already arriving at dealers.
These updates demonstrate Ram’s desire to remain competitive in the full-size pickup segment, offering both powerful versions for enthusiasts and practical options for everyday users. The expansion of the color palette and additional equipment, such as the surround-view camera system, makes the model more attractive to a wide audience, while the return of the Hemi V8 emphasizes a focus on performance, which could become a key advantage over competitors.
