911 Turbo S Sadu Edition combines 701 horsepower with craftsmanship older than Porsche itself

Porsche celebrates 70 years in Kuwait with a special edition 911 Turbo S

Despite the complex political situation in the Middle East, Porsche has decided to celebrate an important milestone in Kuwait. The company has introduced a new limited-edition model, the 911 Turbo S Sadu Edition, dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the brand’s presence in the country.

Design and Exterior

Created by the Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur division, the special edition features a Cremewhite body, which contrasts with the gloss black elements of the SportDesign package. This two-tone design is repeated on the 20- and 21-inch wheels, painted in gloss black and Cremewhite, with a colored Porsche crest.

Most notably, the car pays homage to Sadu wool weaving, which is typically characterized by “horizontal patterns, often in bold dark colors.” This craft is popular in the region, and Porsche utilizes it by adding the Sadu pattern to the doors and the lower section of the rear spoiler.

Features and Interior

The model also features gold “Turbo S Sadu Edition” badging and a titanium sports exhaust system. These are complemented by a glass sunroof, a front-axle lift system, a premium fuel filler cap, and ceramic composite brakes with black calipers.

While the exterior appears relatively restrained, the same cannot be said for the interior, finished in black and Bordeaux Red leather. It features special sports seats and door panels with stylish Sadu patterns. The seats also have “70 Years” embossing in Arabic on the headrests.

Other features include illuminated door sill guards, Silver Grey seat belts, and a GT sports steering wheel with a Bordeaux Red 12 o’clock marker. Designers also installed an Exclusive Manufaktur center console lid and a premium Burmester audio system. The package includes a special key, a key pouch, and a wallet for the owner’s manual.

Exclusivity and Price

If that’s not enough, additional personalization can be obtained through the Sonderwunsch program. As Porsche explained, customers can order Sadu upholstery for the front luggage compartment and glovebox.

Production is limited to 20 units, but pricing information is not yet available. However, the model can be expected to cost significantly more than a standard 911 Turbo S, which starts at 77,500 Kuwaiti dinars (around $251,597 USD).

Historical Context

As for the first Porsche imported into the Middle East, that honor belongs to the 356 Cabriolet. Mourad Behbehani brought the Cabriolet to Kuwait in 1956, and the company Behbehani Motors remains the official importer seven decades later.

This special series not only highlights the brand’s long-standing history in the region but also demonstrates how the car manufacturer integrates local cultural traditions into its products. The use of the Sadu technique, which is an important part of Kuwait’s heritage, makes this model particularly valuable for collectors. Given the limited run of 20 cars, this version will undoubtedly become a coveted acquisition for fans of the brand in the Middle East and beyond, reinforcing Porsche’s status as a manufacturer of not just fast, but also unique vehicles.
