by The BMW 2 Series 2020 lineup has been expanded with the coupe-like sedan Gran Coupe. The Mercedes CLA competitor will be presented in November at the Los Angeles Auto Show. 
Design of the BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe
The new BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe stands out with its dynamic design featuring an arch-shaped roof and high window line. The side windows are frameless. The lighting is fully LED even in the base version.
The sporty BMW 2 Series sedan reaches 4526 mm in length, 1800 mm in width, and 1420 mm in height with a wheelbase of 2670 mm. Like the new BMW 1 Series, it is built on a front-wheel-drive platform.
Interior and equipment of the BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe
The interior is maintained in the traditional BMW style with a center console oriented towards the driver. It features a digital instrument cluster and a 10.25-inch touchscreen, as well as a head-up display. The trunk volume is 430 liters.
The base equipment of the BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe is quite rich and includes electric front seats, parktronic, rear view camera, systems of automatic braking, lane-keeping control, and blind-spot monitoring. Among the options, there is automatic parking technology and a keyless entry system via smartphone.
Specifications of the BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe
The new BMW sedan will receive gasoline turbo engines with a volume of 1.5 liters (140 hp) and 2.0 liters (231 hp), as well as a 2.0-liter 190-hp turbodiesel. The M235i variant with a 2.0-liter 306-hp turbo engine stands apart. 
The top BMW M235i Gran Coupe can accelerate to 100 km/h in 4.8 seconds and reach 250 km/h.
It also has all-wheel drive. For different versions, a 6-speed manual transmission, an 8-speed automatic, or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic are offered. Adaptive dampers are available for an additional fee.
