Would you buy an SF90 Stradale that flipped upside down?

Crashed Ferrari SF90 Stradale up for auction

The Ferrari SF90 Stradale is one of the most powerful supercars on the market, equipped with a 986-horsepower twin-turbo V8 and three electric motors. However, even such technological might couldn’t save one unit when the driver flipped it in Perth. Now this wrecked car is being sold by the insurer.

The car features the Assetto Fiorano package, which includes a lightweight exhaust system, carbon fiber components, and upgraded shock absorbers. It is severely damaged: mangled body panels, crushed pillars, torn-off mirrors, and a punctured roof. The engine and hybrid system likely also require serious repairs.

Opportunities for buyers

While the Ferrari cannot be restored for Australian roads, it could be converted into a track car or used for spare parts. Currently, the highest bid at auction is around $50,000—a small price for a former millionaire. Foreign buyers have already shown interest in the lot, possibly attempting to restore it.

This story serves as a reminder that even the most advanced engineering solutions can’t always compensate for human error. The Ferrari SF90 remains a technological marvel, but its fate now depends on who takes on its revival—whether as a functional vehicle or at least as an exhibit.
