This Stellantis off-roader allows you to make coffee right on the spot

Features of the special version

The Opel Mokka Coffee is a unique model equipped with a built-in barista station. The luggage compartment houses two coffee machines, a grinder, a milk steamer, and a refrigerator. This version is based on the electric Mokka, which has a power of 154 horsepower and a range of up to 250 miles.

Coffee holiday and the automobile

October 1st is International Coffee Day, and Stellantis decided to draw attention to this event with a special version of the Opel Mokka Electric. The name “Mokka” itself fits the theme perfectly, as in German this word means “mocha” – a coffee drink, which in turn got its name from the Yemeni port of Mocha, which was once an important center of the world coffee trade.

Mobile coffee shop

Externally, the car looks standard, except for a small coffee emblem on the rear. However, if you open the trunk, you will find two coffee machines – one for ground coffee, the other for coffee capsules. The package also includes a coffee grinder, a hob for heating milk, a waste container, and even a refrigerator. All equipment is integrated into special drawers and cabinets with Opel branding.

Unfortunately, this means there is no room left for luggage. The company even added a coffee icon to the menu of the 10-inch infotainment display.

Purpose and capabilities

Opel states that the Mokka Coffee is designed to “make breaks during vacation trips or in the usual stress of everyday life more pleasant and tastier”. Since it is an electric vehicle, the presence of such equipment can keep you occupied during charging.

Technical specifications

The manufacturer could have installed the coffee equipment on the more powerful Opel Mokka GSE version with 278 horsepower and an improved chassis. However, since this project is more focused on relaxation, they chose the standard electric version of the Mokka with 154 horsepower. Like most Stellantis models, this compact SUV is equipped with a 54 kWh battery, providing a range of 402 km according to the WLTP standard.

Interestingly, this is not the first time Stellantis has rethought the cargo space of the Opel Mokka Electric. Back in 2023, the company introduced an LCV version of this small SUV with two seats and a shelving system designed for professionals.

Future of the project

As you might have guessed, the Opel Mokka “Coffee” will remain a unique specimen. Nevertheless, if you are convinced that you need something similar in your life, you can always try a similar conversion yourself based on any car with a sufficient luggage compartment.

Such conceptual developments demonstrate how automakers experiment with the functionality of vehicles, adapting them to specific needs and hobbies. Electric vehicles, with their more compact powertrains and convenient battery placement, open up new possibilities for such modifications, turning ordinary cars into mobile workspaces or relaxation zones.
